Happy Tuesday!

I honestly forgot I had this blog. How awful is that?! Early 2013, Zac accepted a job in Sherman, so back to Texas we went. We have both lived in Texas our whole lives, so nothing against Ardmore, but Texas is our home and probably always will be! I miss my Ardmore peeps though. Our little guy is now a year and a half! I can't believe that! My goodness, it's almost time to start planning his 2nd b-day. (Honestly, those of you who really know me, know that I've already started planning. There is nothing more fun than planning Kaden's birthday party!) The theme will be Cookie Monster and Pinterest has SO many cute ideas. I can't wait! It's so much fun to see Kaden's personality come out more and more everyday. He's such a joy and a blessing! Someday down the road he will have a little sister, but right now we are just enjoying little Kaden :) This Summer, we took Kaden on a boat and he HATED it. I mean absolutely hated it! The life jacket was all up in his face and he was just miserable. He just didn't understand why he had to wear that stupid thing and he wanted it OFF! We were hoping he would have more fun because he's such an outdoor boy. He will love the lake when he's older though. We want to be fun parents and take him to all kinds of cool places! Also, I've done a lot of thinking this Summer. Well, too much thinking. I know for a fact that I will walk across a stage at a college and get a degree. I just know it. My motivation is incredibly high. The problem...I can't decide what darn degree I want! There are almost TOO many career options out there to choose from, and I can't seem to pick one. One moment, I want to be a teacher, which is what I've wanted to do for quite some time now. The next moment, I can't see myself as a teacher at all. Then, I want to have my own in-home licensed daycare. Then, I want to have my own bakery/winery. Then, then, then, blah, blah, blah. If any middle school or hs students for some reason read this blog, please think long and hard about what you want to do in life BEFORE you graduate. That way, you will have somewhat of a plan. You may change your mind a couple of times, but you will be focused on getting that degree. When I was 18, I was so determined to move out on my own and be ms. independent that college was the absolute last thing on my mind. I was way too much in a hurry to become an adult that I didn't go to school right away. I knew I would go someday, but I should have gone right away. Sure, I've taken a few college classes here and there, but I'm 29 and not finished yet. I know 29 is not old, but I should have my degree now. In fact, I should have had it years ago. On a happier note lol!!! I am SO excited about fall. I found the most adorable pumpkin wreath on Pinterest and I can't wait to make it. Fall is less than 2 weeks away and I will more than welcome cooler temps in Texas. Pumpkins will overtake my house yay! Have a wonderful day my sweet friends :) Jenny

Do you like hot air balloons as much as I do?

I LOVE hot air balloons. If you want something extra cool to do this weekend, come to The Sky's the Limit Balloon Spectacular in Gainesville September 13-15. Zac's band, Midnight Drive, plays at 7:45 on the 14th right after the balloon glow! So excited! For the full schedule and more info, go to www.theskysthelimit.org. Hope to see you there!

What I'm Thankful For! Day 3

I am so thankful for the sweet little boy that came into my life on February 7, 2012. I love Kaden more than words can describe, and I love every single day with him. I love every smile, every laugh, and every grossed out facial expression when he doesn't like a veggie! I can't wait to see the man he becomes, and I pray I'm the best mom I can be to him! Thank you Lord for my son :-)

What I'm Thankful For: Day 2

I'm so thankful for my amazing husband Zac. He is so loving, sweet, patient, and FUN, and I'm so crazy about him. He's my bestest friend ever. I love waking up next to him every day, and living this life together, and I pray I get to for many more years to come! I love you babe! Thank you Lord for my husband :-)

What I'm Thankful For! Day 1

I am so grateful for God's love, mercy, and forgiveness. I am absolutely nothing without Him and He is so AWESOME! :-) I am also thankful for this beautiful Earth He has created for us, and I'm thankful for each and every blessing He has filled my life with.

Fall Candy Corn Tree

I just made this fun, festive candy corn tree! I've seen other people on pinterest make this, and I just knew I had to make it. All you need is a vase, three to four bags of candy corn from Dollar Tree, branches from a tree, and a hot glue gun. I seriously don't know what I would do without my hot glue gun! I use it for absolutely everything I make! All you do is put the branches in your vase, fill your vase to the top with candy corn, and just hot glue candy corn to the top of the branches and that's it! $4 project and it only takes 30 minutes :-)

Lots of New Stuff!

I'm absolutely awful about keeping up with this blog! First of all, we are having a blast being parents! Kaden just melts our hearts :-) He's over 2 months old now....I just can't believe that! It seems like he was born yesterday! I love how much Kaden looks like Zac! Zac's mini-me :-) Thank you Lord for blessing us with such a sweet and healthy baby boy. I love our little family :-)

We now live in Oklahoma! We've been commuting for awhile to Ardmore from Gainesville, and the drive was about to drive us crazy! It's a pretty far drive, plus gas prices are getting ridiculous, and we didn't want Kaden on the road all the time. The decision to move happened so fast, but we believe it's the right one. We love our house and it's right down the street from both of our jobs. It's also right down the street from Hobby Lobby! Yes!!! I joke a lot about how Texas is the best state ever, which it is hehe, but I really do like Oklahoma. It's pretty. Not as pretty as my dream state Colorado, but still pretty :-) Maybe when we retire someday, we will live in the mountains or on the beach somewhere! That would be awesome!! One thing I know for sure, I will never be an OU fan people!! Never, ever, ever ;-) I love the OU vs Texas rivalry though, especially now that I work with lots of OU ("no") fans! Maybe Texas will actually win this year so I don't look like an idiot...again...

Another cool thing going on is a band called Midnight Drive! My husband plays drums in the band, and he sure is smoking hot ;-) I am really excited for them, and I really believe they will make it big. They already have their first cd out called "Back Against the Whiskey". When the cd's came in, Zac and I drove around listening to it. I love the cd and I'm not just saying that because I'm his wifee. They have something really snappy! The last song on the cd is called Ten Fingers & Ten Toes which Zac wrote for Kaden. Every time I hear it, it makes me tear up. It's so sweet :-) Check them out at Midnightdriveband.com!

I can't wait to start planting in front of the house. I've never done it before, but it sounds so fun! I'm going to plant rose bushes. The only problem...I have to dig up two pretty big bushes first! This should be interesting and fun! I will post pics when I finish.

Since we live in Ardmore now, we have to find a new church home. We are praying for God's guidance. Zac has gone to his church in Whitesboro his whole life and we really love it there. We will miss our church very much, but we will still visit when Zac's family is in town!

Alright, Kaden's diaper just exploded, so I have to go! Boys...lol!
