Needing Some Patience

As I sit here at lunch on yet another gorgeous day, all I can think about is Kaden and how desperately bad Zac and I want him here. We can't stop thinking about what he looks like and when he IS COMING lol! It's driving us absolutely nuts. I never imagined being this impatient! The due date isn't for another 12 days, but my doctor says he could be here any day now. Ever since he told us that, every day has been d r a g g i n g.....I know he will be here when it's time, but I just don't know how much longer I can wait. For real. Every contraction makes me wonder if this is the day and then they go away! He will be here soon though, and we can't wait!!!!!

So excited :-)

I'm sitting outside at lunch in the sunshine feeling Kaden moving around :-) I went to the doctor yesterday and he said I'm 80% effaced and he thinks Kaden will be here between today and the next 10 days! Oh my goodness! So excited and scared to death at the same time. I want to go clean SO bad right now. I want to go vacuum every square inch of our house and make sure everything is ready for our sweet baby boy :-) I can't wait to meet this little guy. I can't believe this is really about to happen!!!

Predictions for when Kaden will be here!

At our baby shower our friends threw for us, we asked everyone when they thought our sweet baby boy will be here. I thought I would put it on here for fun and also because I will probably lose the piece of paper before Kaden gets here. (anyone who has seen my purse understands why I can never find a darn thing lol!) Here are the predictions...

Baby Shower!

Today our friends threw a shower for us and we had a blast! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends :-) thank you Jason and Bri for throwing this amazing shower for us and to all of our friends for coming!!!

Zac was blindfolded and had to figure out what was in the diaper and it was so funny!!

Kaden will be here in approx 4 weeks now, oh my goodness! We have his crib set up that my wonderful in-laws got us and it's perfect :-) and the bed set that we got him came in the other day, so the crib is complete!  (Pictures coming soon!) Kaden's newborn sized clothes are in the dryer as we speak. I have washed them twice now! (Don't worry, I do have a little bit of "good" OCD, but this is the last time I will wash them before he arrives lol.) We are just so excited to meet our little guy and we are just trying to get as prepared as possible. Next week I will start going to the doctor once a week...coming up fast!  Can't wait!

Kaden is Almost Here!

I can't believe there's only approx. 5 weeks left until our sweet baby boy is here! How exciting! People told me being pregnant for 9 months just drags on, but it has flown by. It seems like we just found out yesterday. He's been moving around for hours today. I don't think he has taken a nap! :-) Zac is going to be such an awesome dad. I can't wait to see him holding Kaden in his arms and to see them watching sports together when he gets a little older hehe :-) I was really scared about the delivery but I've been praying really hard about it and I feel that God has given me peace about it. I have a big feeling Kaden will be here on February 13th or 14th. Zac thinks February 7th or 10th, my mom says February 21st and Zac's mom thinks he will be here on the 11th. Can't wait to find out!
Another exciting thing is that we found out our wonderful friends Jason and Bri are going to be parents too! If it's a boy, our sons will hopefully be best friends just like Zac and Jason have been all these years, and if it's a girl, maybe they will get married someday! Ok, maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but it's fun to think about!
Another exciting thing is my wonderful sister in law is getting married! A big congrats to Casey and Shane! 2012 is going to be an awesome year!!!

I'm Finished with this Semester!!!

As of a few minutes ago, I am completely finished with this semester!  I just finished typing up my last paper on Othello for my World Literature class.  (Very messed up play that Shakespeare wrote in my opinion.)  I worked my booty off and I'm hoping for A's.  My friends and family really helped me with my speech class.  I had to have six audience members for all of my speeches, and they were always there to watch them and I am very grateful.  Now I can breathe again haha!  I love school, but between that and all the other things to do in the world, it takes up A LOT of time.  It will absolutely be worth it in the end though when I get my degree and start teaching.  I may be 80 by the time I finish, but I will finish!

Zac and I will be parents in approximately 10 weeks.  I am SO excited!  This pregnancy has been a blessing and has gone by very fast.  I can't believe Kaden is almost here.  Since I've been so busy with school, we haven't decorated or anything yet, so now I can do that yay!  He's been kicking like crazy today and it makes me smile every time he does it :)  He's a strong boy, I can tell!  To be honest though, I am utterly terrified of the delivery.  I know most or all women say that, but I am.  It's scary.  It's something I've never done before and I think that's what scares me the most.  I really don't know what to expect, but once we see him, that all won't matter anymore.  I'm tearing up thinking about seeing him for the first time.  I wonder what he looks like.  What his hair color is, what his eye color will be, what he will be like, what his passions will be.  We are ready to meet this little guy and I know his 4 wonderful grandparents and the rest of our family and friends can't wait to meet him either!  We love him so much already!  I am now going to the doctor every two weeks and I believe in the last month, I will go every week.  It's coming up fast!  I pray for a very healthy boy and a wonderful delivery :)  and I also pray that it doesn't ice or snow because it will be February and it would not be fun trying to go up to Ardmore from Gainesville on ice when I'm in labor.  See, I'm freaking myself out and I need to stop!  Thank you Lord for blessing us with a baby.  :)

I also can't believe it's almost Christmas!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with both of our families!  I now have time to make a Christmas wreath.  I saw this wreath online and I HAVE to make it!  Hobby Lobby here I come!  I'm very passionate about making things and I really want to get into scrapbooking soon.  The only thing is that I feel like I have to finish a project the day I start it instead of doing a little at a time, so I drive myself nuts until it's done, ultimately making it not as fun as it could be lol!  Oh well, I've been this way for 27 years now so I should just get used to it. 

                Here's our Christmas tree!  Thanks so much Bri for helping me decorate it while the guys played PlayStation haha!  There's about 200 or more ornaments on this thing!  I love Christmas because we get to celebrate our Savior's birth and spend time with our loved ones :)

It's a boy!

This post is a little late! We found out on September 21, 2011 that we are going to have a baby boy :-) Kaden Zachary Grantham. Zac is a drummer and the name Kaden came from drum "cadence". I love the name! We cant wait to meet this little guy!! Being a girl and growing up playing with barbies and playing house and school, it's going to be fun (and a new learning experience haha) to find out what boys like to do! Of course I'm sure he will grow up watching sports with his daddy (and with me too if it's football :-)) I can't wait to see what he looks like :-) I love him so much already. The last few weeks he has been kicking like crazy! The boy is strong!! Four more months to go!
